Calcitriol (Calcitriol) ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Calcitriol — also known as Vitamin D hormone, 1, 25-dihydroxycholecalciferol or 1, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 — in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. Calcitriol plays a central role in regulating calcium and phosphorus levels in the body, and its deficiency has been associated with bone disorders, immune system dysfunction and metabolic disorders, making its reliable quantification valuable for research into these conditions.

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method with a measuring range of 15.6–1000 pg/mL and general (universal) reactivity. It is intended for research use only. The kit includes a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealer; most components are stored at –20 °C, while the wash buffer, substrate and stop solution are stored at 4 °C. A microplate reader with a 450 nm filter is required for the readout.

Sample preparation guidance is provided for serum, plasma (collected using EDTA or heparin as anticoagulant), urine, cerebrospinal fluid, cell culture supernatant, cell lysates, tissue homogenates, tissue lysates and breast milk, with storage at –80 °C recommended and freeze–thaw cycles to be avoided; haemolysed samples are noted as unsuitable.
