C-RAF Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A Cell-Based ELISA offering from Assay Genie, this kit enables the qualitative detection of C-RAF protein expression in cultured cells. It provides a convenient, lysate-free workflow that supports high-throughput screening of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators, allowing researchers to measure relative C-RAF levels directly in adherent cells.

Detection is performed through an indirect ELISA format: C-RAF is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody. A colourimetric reaction is produced upon substrate addition and read at 450 nm. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is supplied to normalise absorbance values to cell density. The assay's dynamic range is > 5000 Cells, with reactivity confirmed in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. The kit is intended for storage at 4 °C with a stability of 6 Months.

C-RAF, encoded by the RAF1 gene, is a key component of the MAPK/ERK signalling cascade, functioning downstream of the Ras family of GTPases and acting through MEK1/2 and ERK1/2 to regulate cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation.
