Benzylpenicillin (also known as Penicillin G) is a beta-lactam antibiotic routinely screened in veterinary drug residue testing programs, and this Assay Genie kit enables quantitative measurement of penicillin G contamination across food matrices such as raw milk, duck tissue, and other animal-derived samples. The competitive immunoassay format supports research use and routine residue screening in food safety and quality control laboratories monitoring antibiotic contamination in animal-origin products.

Concentrations are reported in parts per billion (ppb), with a working detection range of 0.1 to 10 ppb and a sensitivity near 0.05 ppb under standard assay conditions. Only a small sample volume (typically 50 uL of prepared extract or diluted standard) is needed per well, supporting flexible batch processing of heterogeneous samples within a single 96-well plate run.

Each kit ships in a microplate format containing pre-coated wells, calibrator standards, HRP-conjugate, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution for 96 determinations. Unopened components should be kept refrigerated and protected from light, while reconstituted standards and conjugate should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding performance across the kit shelf life.
