Bovine Vitamin E (VE) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this competitive ELISA kit enables the quantitative measurement of vitamin E levels in bovine samples. The colorimetric assay is intended for research use only and is suited to detecting natural and recombinant general vitamin E in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant whose α-tocopherol form is the most biologically active, helping protect cells from reactive oxygen species formed during fat oxidation.

The assay has a detection range of 0.78-50 umol/L and a sensitivity of 0.33 umol/L. Linearity has been validated across multiple dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (N=5): serum returns 94-104% at 1:2, 108-118% at 1:4, 83-91% at 1:8, and 107-117% at 1:16; EDTA plasma returns 102-114% at 1:2, 110-120% at 1:4, 104-114% at 1:8, and 96-105% at 1:16; heparin plasma returns 80-90% at 1:2, 105-117% at 1:4, 101-111% at 1:8, and 96-109% at 1:16.
