Bovine Visfatin (VF) ELISA Kit

Bovine Visfatin, also known as NAMPT (nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase) and formerly PBEF, is an adipocytokine implicated in cellular energy status, insulin responsiveness and acute-phase inflammatory responses in cattle. The Assay Genie kit enables quantitative measurement of circulating VF across lactation stages, dry-off periods and dietary challenge experiments in dairy and beef research herds. Assay reagents are supplied ready-to-use and include a precoated microplate, lyophilized recombinant bovine VF standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, chromogenic substrate and stop solution, packaged in individually sealed vials. The protocol calls for a 50 uL sample volume, runs at room temperature after reagent equilibration, and is calibrated against a bovine-specific standard curve. Researchers apply it for in vitro studies of adipocyte secretion, in vivo metabolic profiling and ELISA-based screening of mastitis or ketosis cohorts.
