Bovine Tyrosinase (TYR) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Bovine Tyrosinase (TYR) ELISA Kit uses a sandwich immunoassay on a 96-well microplate to quantify tyrosinase in bovine serum and plasma samples. Tyrosinase is a copper-containing oxidase that catalyzes the hydroxylation of tyrosine to L-DOPA and its oxidation to dopaquinone, the rate-limiting step in melanin biosynthesis.

The colorimetric detection method produces a measurable signal at 450 nm on a standard plate reader. Each kit contains pre-coated wells, lyophilized standards, biotinylated detection antibodies, HRP conjugate, wash buffer, and TMB substrate, providing the reagents required to generate a standard curve and quantify unknown samples.

Standard sample volume is 50 µL per well, with an assay time of approximately 2-3 hours at room temperature. Reconstituted standards and diluted samples should be used promptly or stored refrigerated at 2-8 °C for short-term stability; the unopened kit is best preserved frozen at -20 °C and protected from light.
