Bovine Troponin T, cardiac muscle (TNNT2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of bovine cardiac troponin T (TNNT2) in research applications. The assay targets a protein also referred to as cardiac muscle troponin T, cTnT or TnTc, and is supplied for research use only.

Troponin T is the tropomyosin-binding subunit of the troponin complex, the thin filament regulatory complex which confers calcium-sensitivity to striated muscle actomyosin ATPase activity. The target is encoded by the TNNT2 gene (UniProt P13789), with a reported molecular weight of 33,361 Da. Because elevated troponin T levels are indicative of cardiac muscle damage, the marker is commonly used when studying cardiovascular disease, cardiac injury and muscle disorders in bovine species.

The colorimetric detection method is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity reported for natural and recombinant bovine Troponin T, cardiac muscle. According to the manufacturer's specifications, the detection range is 78-5000pg/mL and the sensitivity is 38.5pg/mL. The kit is supplied with an ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealer, with storage temperatures specified per component.
