This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie is configured for measuring Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinases 3 (TIMP3) in bovine-origin specimens. TIMP3 is an extracellular matrix-anchored regulator of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-3, MMP-7, MMP-9, MMP-13) and several ADAM-family disintegrin metalloproteinases; it also blocks VEGFR2 receptor signaling, giving it broad relevance to studies of angiogenesis, extracellular matrix turnover, retinal disease, cardiac remodeling, fibrosis, and tumor microenvironment biology. The 96-assay plate format supports simultaneous processing of standards and unknowns using a colorimetric readout suitable for routine laboratory plate readers.

Calibrated for bovine reactivity, the kit is validated for serum specimens, plasma specimens, tissue homogenate preparations, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatant fractions, allowing researchers to track endogenous TIMP3 levels across diverse sample matrices without separate assay development. Components include pre-coated wells and ready-to-use reagents, with a standard curve enabling direct interpolation of unknown concentrations against bovine TIMP3.

Storage and handling: kit components should be refrigerated upon receipt and equilibrated to room temperature before use. Reconstituted standards and working detection antibody solutions should be aliquoted to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity. For research use only; not intended for clinical diagnostic applications.
