The Secretory phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R1) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein recognized in immunological research as the principal autoantigen targeted in idiopathic membranous nephropathy, a leading cause of adult nephrotic syndrome. Circulating anti-PLA2R1 autoantibodies are routinely measured by ELISA to support differential diagnosis, monitor disease activity, and track response to immunosuppressive therapy in translational studies.

This bovine-specific Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is supplied as a 96-well microplate configured for colorimetric readout, validated for quantitative detection of PLA2R1 in serum and plasma. The dual-antibody capture format delivers analytical specificity beyond direct-binding or competitive methods, and the kit is intended for research use only, supporting veterinary immunology studies, comparative nephropathy models, and assay-development workflows that require a well-characterized bovine reference reagent.

Standard protocol: bring all reagents to room temperature before use, and store the kit refrigerated at 2-8 degrees C; reconstituted standards and conjugate should remain refrigerated between runs unless the insert specifies otherwise. Aliquot thawed serum or plasma, limit freeze-thaw cycles, and return unused strips to the foil pouch with desiccant to protect from moisture.
