Bovine SAA (Serum amyloid A protein) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of Serum Amyloid A (SAA) in bovine samples. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 5.625 ng/mL and a working range of 9.375–600 ng/mL. Linearity testing across dilutions gave 89–96% (1:2), 90–99% (1:4) and 82–100% (1:8) for serum (n=5); 85–97%, 82–100% and 80–100% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 85–97%, 82–100% and 80–92% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery averaged 92% for serum (range 87–103%), 97% for EDTA plasma (range 92–102%), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 87–103%).

The assay workflow proceeds through reagent equilibration, a 37°C primary incubation of 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction read at 450 nm. All reagents are stored at 2–8°C with stated stability of 12 months under those conditions.
