Bovine Protein S100-B (S100B) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie S100B kit is a colorimetric sandwich ELISA that quantifies bovine S100 calcium-binding protein B in serum and plasma samples. S100B is a ~21 kDa dimeric protein expressed primarily by astrocytes in the central nervous system and by melanocytes, and circulating concentrations serve as a quantitative biomarker in neuroscience and veterinary neurology research, including studies of traumatic brain injury, cerebral ischemia, and neurodegenerative conditions in cattle.

Each kit supplies a pre-coated 96-well microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, calibrated protein standards, and assay buffer sufficient for 96 determinations. The standard curve typically spans a working range of approximately 0.156–10 ng/mL, with a minimum detectable dose near 0.05 ng/mL depending on sample handling. Bring all reagents and samples to room temperature before use; reconstituted standards and the wash buffer concentrate are stored at 2–8 °C short term, or frozen below -20 °C for extended stability, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided.
