Bovine Protein O-linked-mannose beta-1,2-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase 1 (POMGNT1) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie bovine POMGNT1 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of Protein O-linked-mannose beta-1,2-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase 1 in bovine serum and plasma samples using a sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection. POMGNT1 is a glycosyltransferase that initiates the formation of the laminin-binding O-mannosyl glycan on alpha-dystroglycan, and altered expression has been linked to dystroglycanopathy phenotypes, congenital muscular dystrophy, and abnormal neuronal migration in cattle models.

Each kit provides a pre-coated 96-well microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, calibrated standards, and assay diluent sufficient for 96 reactions. The protocol uses 50 µl of sample per well with a total incubation time of approximately 3 hours at room temperature, and the generated standard curve supports quantitative comparison of glycosylation pathway activity across bovine research samples.
