Bovine Peptidoglycan recognition protein 1 (PGLYRP1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of bovine Peptidoglycan recognition protein 1 (PGLYRP1). The kit is reactive with bovine samples and uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method, with absorbance read at 450 nm. It is intended for research use only and is suited to studies in immunology and innate immune defence.

The assay has a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 34 pg/mL. It accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant bovine Peptidoglycan recognition protein 1. PGLYRP1 (synonyms: Oligosaccharide-binding protein, OBP; Peptidoglycan recognition protein short, PGRP-S) is a secreted pattern receptor that binds murein peptidoglycans of Gram-positive bacteria and exerts bactericidal activity, with additional binding reported for Gram-negative bacteria and yeast; the functional protein is a disulfide-linked homodimer (UniProt Q8SPP7, molecular weight 21,063 Da, NCBI Gene ID 282305, accession NP_776998.1).
