PDIA3, also called ERp57, is an endoplasmic reticulum-resident oxidoreductase that catalyzes disulfide bond formation and rearrangement in nascent glycoproteins as part of the calnexin-calreticulin folding cycle. In bovine biology, this chaperone has been studied in milk protein maturation, hepatic secretory function, and ER stress responses in mammary epithelial tissue.
