The Assay Genie Bovine MCTS1 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of Malignant T-cell amplified sequence 1 protein in bovine serum and plasma samples through a sandwich immunoassay format. MCTS1 functions as a translation initiation factor with oncogenic activity, and researchers investigate its expression in studies of cell proliferation, lymphoma biology, and translational control.

Each kit supplies a pre-coated 96-well microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, calibrated protein standards, wash buffer, and substrate sufficient for 96 reactions. The colorimetric readout is captured on a standard microplate reader at 450 nm, with intra- and inter-assay precision typically below 10% CV. Reconstituted reagents should be stored refrigerated at 2-8 degrees C and protected from light, while unused strips remain stable inside the sealed pouch with desiccant until the kit expiration.

For research use only. Each lot is validated for sensitivity, specificity, and linearity across the dynamic range of the standard curve.

MCT-1 (encoded by the MCTS1 locus on Xq24) is a ~18 kDa oncoprotein that promotes translation initiation through an eIF2A-dependent pathway and has been implicated in rRNA processing, ribosomal recycling, and the unfolded protein response. Bovine MCTS1 has been investigated as a biomarker candidate in studies of bovine leukemia virus-driven lymphoproliferation, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and translational dysregulation during T-cell activation. Researchers also examine its crosstalk with mTOR signaling and its responsiveness to stress-induced eIF2α phosphorylation.

The Assay Genie sandwich ELISA typically uses 100 µL of serum or plasma per well, with a standard curve spanning approximately 0.16-10 ng/mL. The protocol calls for a 1:2 sample dilution, an overnight coating step at 2-8 degrees C, and a total assay window of roughly 3.5 hours. Each shipment ships with a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis documenting intra- and inter-assay precision (%CV), spike-recovery, and parallelism against reference bovine serum samples.
