The Assay Genie Bovine MIP-1α (CCL3) ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha across multiple bovine sample matrices including blood-derived fluids, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and culture supernatants, supporting research into chemokine signaling, innate immunity, and inflammatory disease in cattle. CCL3 is a key pro-inflammatory chemokine secreted by activated macrophages that recruits monocytes, T lymphocytes, and dendritic cells to sites of infection or tissue injury, making this assay useful for studies of bovine respiratory disease, mastitis, parasitic infections, and vaccine-induced immune responses.

This 96-assay microplate kit uses a sandwich immunoassay configuration with colorimetric readout and is supplied complete with pre-coated wells, biotinylated detection antibody, standards, and TMB substrate. Reagents should be stored refrigerated for short-term use; for longer-term stability, freeze the kit at -20 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting prepared working solutions.

The assay has been validated against related chemokines and shows no significant cross-reactivity with bovine CCL4 (MIP-1β), CCL5 (RANTES), or other closely related CC chemokines, confirming species selectivity for bovine CCL3. Intended for research use only, this kit supports in vitro applications such as cytokine profiling from bovine peripheral blood mononuclear cells, chemotaxis studies, and experimental infection models relevant to livestock health and vaccine development.
