Bovine Lysyl oxidase homolog 1 (LOXL1) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie developed for the precise quantification of Lysyl oxidase homolog 1 (LOXL1) in bovine serum, plasma, and tissue samples. LOXL1 is a key enzyme involved in the cross-linking of collagen and elastin fibres, essential for maintaining the structural integrity of connective tissues. Dysregulation of LOXL1 has been implicated in fibrosis and cancer, making this kit a valuable tool for researchers studying tissue remodelling, fibrotic disorders, and cancer progression. The assay targets the secreted extracellular form of the protein (UniProt Q95L39; NCBI Gene ID 281903).

Validated performance characteristics include colorimetric ELISA detection, a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL, and a sensitivity of 20 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.9% and inter-assay CV is 9.9%. Linearity has been confirmed for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16, with serum linearity ranging from 90–109%, EDTA plasma from 93–107%, and heparin plasma from 90–106%. Average recovery is 99% for serum (range 94–100%) and 100% for plasma (range 92–103%). The assay is specific for natural and recombinant bovine LOXL1.
