Bovine IPTH (Intact Parathormone) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of intact parathormone (iPTH) levels in bovine samples, this kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell lysis buffer or tissue lysis buffer, and other biological fluid samples. It uses a double antibody assay format and is reactive with bovine specimens.

Sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL with an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The procedure covers reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance measured at 450 nm.

Intact parathormone is a critical hormone that regulates calcium and phosphate metabolism, supporting bone health and mineral balance. Abnormal iPTH levels can indicate potential issues such as hyperparathyroidism or hypoparathyroidism, making the kit useful for studying bone metabolism, endocrine function, and metabolic disorders in bovine species.
