Bovine IL-6 ELISA Kit (BOFI00010)

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. The standard procedure begins with reagent and plate equilibration to room temperature, followed by a primary incubation of standards, samples and controls on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is then added and incubated at 37°C for 60 minutes, after which HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) is applied for 30 minutes at 37°C. Colour development is performed with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance is read at 450 nm immediately after adding the stop solution.

Reported linearity at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 falls within 90-102%, 96-105% and 93-105% for serum (n = 5); 82-95%, 82-98% and 85-101% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 80-99%, 80-94% and 81-99% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Spike-and-recovery testing across the same sample types shows average recoveries of 92% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma and 95% for heparin plasma.
