Targeting bovine interleukin-1 beta, also known as IL-1F2, this solid-phase immunoassay from Assay Genie supports quantitative measurement of a central pro-inflammatory cytokine in veterinary and translational research. IL-1β is produced primarily by activated macrophages and monocytes, drives fever through prostaglandin induction, and shapes leukocyte recruitment, Th17 differentiation, and tissue remodeling in cattle challenged by bacterial or viral pathogens.

The kit provides 96 assays per box and is validated for measuring IL-1β in bovine cell culture supernatant, as well as in blood-derived specimens collected for veterinary studies.
