Bovine Glutamine (Gln) ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of glutamine (Gln) in bovine samples, including serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The assay uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method and is intended for research use only. Specificity covers natural and recombinant general glutamine.

Glutamine (Gln or Q) is one of the 20 amino acids encoded by the standard genetic code; its codons are CAA and CAG. Monitoring glutamine levels is relevant to studies of animal nutrition, metabolic disorders and stress response in bovine species.

The stated detection range is 0.312–20 ng/mL, with a sensitivity of 0.098 ng/mL. Reported linearity (N=5) for serial dilutions 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is: serum 104–113%, 97–107%, 105–115%, 82–92%; EDTA plasma 92–104%, 97–107%, 99–109%, 86–96%; heparin plasma 90–102%, 102–112%, 103–112%, 80–88%. Intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV and recovery values are provided with the kit.
