Bovine Ferritin, mitochondrial (FTMT) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this in-vitro immunoassay is designed for the quantitative measurement of mitochondrial ferritin (FTMT) in bovine samples. The kit supports research into iron storage, homeostasis, and disorders linked to FTMT dysregulation, including iron overload and neurodegenerative conditions.

Built on a sandwich ELISA format with a colorimetric read-out, the assay has a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.31 ng/mL. Specificity is directed against natural and recombinant bovine ferritin, mitochondrial (UniProt Q2YDI9), a homooligomeric 24-subunit protein localised to the mitochondrion. FTMT exhibits ferroxidase activity and stores iron in a soluble, non-toxic, readily available form. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with optical density read at 450 nm.

The kit is supplied with a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate solution, stop solution, and plate sealer. For research use only.
