Bovine EPO DIY ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie bovine erythropoietin (EPO) DIY immunoassay is configured for laboratories that already stock their own microplates and want only the capture antibody, calibrator, and detection reagents delivered to the bench. Erythropoietin is the principal hypoxia-responsive glycoprotein that drives red blood cell production in cattle, so quantitative measurement of circulating bovine EPO supports anemia models, exercise and altitude physiology studies, renal function research, and screening workflows aimed at detecting recombinant EPO administration in livestock.

Reactivity is restricted to bovine samples, and the standard workflow uses a 100 µL sample volume per well on the user-prepared plate. Because the format ships DIY, the buyer supplies the plate, adhesive cover, and wash buffer; every reagent needed to generate a standard curve and produce a measurable endpoint is included, with components scaled for up to 10 plates.

Unopened reagents should be refrigerated; reconstituted standards and concentrated detection antibody are held at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the lot-specific insert lists the assigned shelf life. The kit is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or veterinary clinical decision-making.
