Bovine E-selectin (SELE) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of bovine E-selectin (SELE) by colorimetric ELISA, with absorbance read at 450 nm. The assay uses antibodies pre-coated on a microplate, a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-HRP conjugate, with the enzyme-substrate reaction terminated by addition of a sulphuric acid stop solution.

The kit is validated for bovine samples including serum, plasma, saliva, urine, cell culture supernatant and tissue homogenates, and recognises natural and recombinant bovine E-selectin. Stated performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.15 ng/mL. E-selectin (also known as CD62E, ELAM-1, LECAM2, CD62 antigen-like family member E, Endothelial leukocyte adhesion molecule 1, and Leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion molecule 2) is a cell-surface glycoprotein with a role in immunoadhesion, mediating the adhesion of blood neutrophils to cytokine-activated endothelium through interaction with PSGL1/SELPLG, and may also have a role in capillary morphogenesis.

On receipt, the Assay Plate, Standard, and Detection Reagents A and B should be stored at -20°C, with the Substrate stored at 4°C. The kit is supplied for research use only.
