Bovine Cystatin-9 (CST9) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Bovine Cystatin-9 (CST9) ELISA Kit uses a sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm, enabling quantitative measurement of CST9 in bovine serum and plasma samples. Cystatin-9 is a secreted cysteine protease inhibitor belonging to the type 2 cystatin family, involved in regulating endogenous proteolytic activity and implicated in bovine immune and reproductive biology studies.

Each 96-well microplate kit contains pre-coated wells, lyophilized standards, biotinylated detection antibodies, and HRP-conjugated streptavidin. The protocol typically uses 100 µl sample volumes and incubation steps of 30–60 minutes at 37 °C, with a standard curve spanning the expected physiological range of CST9. Reagents should be stored refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light, and the kit is intended for research use only in in vitro applications.
