The Assay Genie Bovine CXADR ELISA Kit uses a sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection measured at 450 nm, providing quantitative measurement of the Coxsackievirus and adenovirus receptor homolog in bovine serum and plasma samples. CXADR is a cell-surface immunoglobulin superfamily glycoprotein that mediates viral attachment and entry of coxsackie B viruses and most adenovirus serotypes, making this kit useful for viral pathogenesis studies, receptor expression profiling, and infectious disease research in cattle.

The 96-well microplate kit includes pre-coated plates, a biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, assay buffer, wash concentrate, and calibrated recombinant standards. Recommended storage is at 2-8 °C; once reconstituted, the standard should be stored frozen in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the chromogen kept protected from light. The assay typically requires 100 µl of sample per well and is completed in roughly 3-4 hours at room temperature.

For research use only, the kit supports applications in veterinary virology, vaccine development, mucosal immunity studies, and bovine host-pathogen interaction research investigating viral tropism, tissue distribution of viral receptors, and cellular susceptibility to adenoviral and picornaviral infection.
