Bovine Complement factor H (CFH) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Sandwich ELISA Kit is built on a 96-well microplate pre-coated with a capture antibody specific to bovine complement factor H, a ~155 kDa glycoprotein that serves as the principal soluble regulator of the alternative complement pathway (AP). Quantitative detection relies on a biotinylated secondary antibody paired with a streptavidin-HRP colorimetric readout, with an analytical working range of approximately 0.156–10 ng/mL and intra-/inter-assay coefficients of variation typically below 10%. Lyophilized standards, biotinylated antibody, and streptavidin-HRP conjugate should be stored at -20 °C after reconstitution, while the assay buffer and wash concentrate remain stable at 2–8 °C; the unopened kit ships refrigerated and carries a shelf life of up to 6 months. Each well requires 50 µL of serum or plasma, the protocol runs in roughly 3.5 hours at room temperature with no prior sample concentration, and results are read at 450 nm with optional 630 nm correction. The kit is validated for research use only, supporting bovine immunology, infectious disease studies, mastitis modeling, glomerulonephritis research, and complement dysregulation screening in cattle.
