Bovine CD14 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored pattern recognition receptor expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils, where it acts as a co-receptor for Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) in the recognition of bacterial lipopolysaccharide. This Assay Genie kit quantifies circulating CD14 in cattle using antibodies raised specifically against the bovine antigen, supporting studies of innate immune activation, inflammatory cascades, and acute-phase responses.
