CCL3, also called macrophage inflammatory protein-1 alpha, is a CC-chemokine secreted by macrophages, lymphocytes, and endothelial cells during inflammatory responses, recruiting monocytes, dendritic cells, and activated T cells to sites of injury or infection. In bovine models, this cytokine is commonly quantified during studies of mastitis, bovine respiratory disease, Johne's disease pathogenesis, and vaccine immunogenicity trials. The Assay Genie DIY kit provides pre-coated plate strips, lyophilized recombinant standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, and TMB substrate solution, with a working detection range of 15.6 to 1000 pg/mL and sensitivity below 10 pg/mL. It supports quantification in serum samples, plasma, and cell culture supernatant using a 50 uL sample volume, and is intended for research use only. Reagents should be refrigerated upon arrival; reconstituted standard should be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20 degrees C to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, with a shelf life of approximately 6 months when handled as directed.
