Quantify the pro-apoptotic Bax protein in bovine samples with this colorimetric microplate ELISA from Assay Genie. Bax (Bcl-2 Associated X Protein) drives mitochondrial outer-membrane permeabilization and cytochrome c release during intrinsic apoptosis, making it a key biomarker in studies of follicular atresia, mastitis, muscle protein turnover, and heat-stress-induced cell death in cattle.
The kit supports 96 determinations per plate and accepts tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other experimentally prepared bovine sample matrices. Workflow follows standard microplate ELISA principles with a chromogenic substrate read on a standard plate reader. All components arrive in single-use vials for convenient aliquoting before each run, and reagents should be refrigerated for the duration of the shelf life to maintain antibody activity; reconstituted standards should be stored frozen in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw degradation.
Intended for in vitro research use only, this Assay Genie reagent is appropriate for academic and industry laboratories investigating mitochondrial apoptosis pathways in bovine models. The product is for research applications and is not cleared for veterinary diagnosis or therapeutic decision-making.
