Bovine Amphiregulin (AREG) ELISA Kit

This colorimetric immunoassay from Assay Genie quantitatively measures amphiregulin (AREG), a heparin-binding ligand of the EGF family that activates ErbB/EGFR signaling in epithelial and immune cells. In bovine biology, AREG expression is closely tied to mammary gland remodeling during lactation, ovarian granulosa cell function during folliculogenesis, rumen epithelial regeneration, and acute-phase responses during intramammary infection. Researchers apply this kit to compare AREG concentrations across milk fractions, follicular fluid aspirates, and conditioned media from primary bovine cell cultures, with detection completed via a biotin-streptavidin-HRP reporter system read on a standard microplate reader. Each kit provides a pre-coated microplate with removable strips, calibrated recombinant bovine AREG standards, assay buffer, wash concentrate, detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, and TMB substrate sufficient for 96 determinations. Unused strips should be returned to the foil pouch with desiccant and refrigerated between runs; allow all reagents to equilibrate to ambient temperature before initiating the protocol.
