Quantitative measurement of bovine aminopeptidase N (ANPEP) protein in serum or plasma specimens is supported by this colorimetric ELISA kit from Assay Genie. ANPEP, also known as CD13, is a type II transmembrane zinc-dependent metallopeptidase that cleaves N-terminal residues from peptide substrates, contributes to peptide hormone turnover, modulates inflammatory peptide signaling at epithelial surfaces, and acts as the cellular attachment receptor exploited by several alphacoronaviruses of veterinary relevance that infect swine, canines, and felines.

This 96-assay ELISA kit is intended for veterinary, reproductive, renal, gastrointestinal, and infectious disease research in cattle. Applications include studies of placental development, mucosal immune function, renal and intestinal brush-border enzyme activity, and coronavirus host-range investigations. The kit is configured for serum or plasma specimens of bovine origin and contains pre-coated plate wells, calibration standards, detection reagents, and the buffer components required to generate a standard curve.

Colorimetric readout on a standard microplate spectrophotometer allows straightforward data capture, and the reagents are supplied in formats consistent with routine laboratory workflows. Each kit includes material for the stated number of determinations and is labeled for research use only. Researchers comparing CD13 expression across bovine tissues, breeds, lactation stages, or disease states can use this kit to generate reproducible concentration data from individual samples.
