Bovine A disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs 2 (ADAMTS2) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of bovine A disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs 2 (ADAMTS2). The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

With a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 37 pg/mL, the kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant bovine ADAMTS2 (UniProt P79331, molecular weight 133,888 Da). ADAMTS2 cleaves the propeptides of type I and II collagen prior to fibril assembly, and dysregulation of the enzyme has been linked to diseases such as osteoarthritis and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. The protein is localised to the secreted, extracellular space and extracellular matrix compartments, and may belong to a multimeric complex that binds specifically to collagen type XIV.
