Bevacizumab (Avastin®) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a colorimetric, free-drug enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the quantitative determination of biologically active, free bevacizumab in serum and plasma. The solid-phase assay uses a double-antigen principle, with microtitre wells coated with human vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Biotin-conjugated human VEGF binds to bevacizumab captured on the plate; after washing, an HRP-conjugated probe and chromogen substrate are added. The developed colour is proportional to the amount of bevacizumab in the sample or standard, and results can be determined directly from the standard curve.

The stated detection limit is "30 (ng/mL)", with spike recovery of "85-115%". The kit includes a break-apart microtiter plate, bevacizumab standards, high- and low-level controls, ready-to-use assay buffer, horse radish peroxidase-conjugated probe, TMB substrate and stop solutions, wash buffer concentrate and adhesive foil. During the assay, colour changes from blue to yellow, and optical density is measured at "450/650 nm".
