BCAR1 (Phospho-Tyr165)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Designed for the study of phosphorylated BCAR1, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie provides a colorimetric, lysate-free assay for detecting BCAR1 protein phosphorylation and expression in cultured cells. The kit uses an indirect ELISA format, in which target-specific primary antibodies are captured and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition, read at 450 nm.

BCAR1, also known as p130Cas, is a key signaling molecule involved in cell adhesion and migration, with phosphorylation at tyrosine 165 regulating its function in cellular processes relevant to cancer, metastasis, and other diseases. The assay is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples and has a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is used to determine cell density.

The kit supports screening for the effects of treatments, inhibitors, or activators on BCAR1 phosphorylation, offering a high-throughput, sensitive approach to measuring relative amounts of phosphorylated BCAR1 in adherent cell samples.
