BCAR1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit is designed for accurate detection of BCAR1 (also known as p130Cas) in cell lysates and culture supernatants. BCAR1 is a docking protein involved in tyrosine-kinase-based signaling related to cell adhesion, migration, survival, transformation, and invasion, and its dysregulation has been linked to diseases including cancer and cardiovascular disorders.

The kit uses a convenient, lysate-free, indirect ELISA format in which BCAR1 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. Validated for use with adherent cells and reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, it supports high-throughput measurement of relative BCAR1 expression in cultured cells and screening of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), and activators. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalisation, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density. Detection is read at 450 nm, the dynamic range is > 5000 Cells, and the kit is stored at 4°C with 6 months stability. It is intended for Cell Biology research.
