Bak Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit provides a high-throughput, lysate-free solution for the qualitative measurement of Bak protein expression in cultured cells. Using an indirect ELISA format, Bak is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colour change read at 450 nm. The kit is intended for adherent cells, with reactivity established for human and mouse samples, and is suitable for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors, or activators on Bak levels.

A dynamic range of more than 5000 cells supports relative quantification of Bak across conditions. An anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be applied to determine cell density for further normalisation. The kit is supplied in a 96-well microplate format and should be stored at 4 °C, where it remains stable for 6 months.
