ATF7 Transcription Factor Activity Assay

The Assay Genie ATF7 Transcription Factor Activity Assay measures the sequence-specific DNA-binding activity of activating transcription factor 7 (ATF7), a member of the ATF/CREB bZIP transcription factor family, in nuclear and cellular lysates. The microplate is pre-coated with an immobilized double-stranded oligonucleotide containing the canonical ATF/CRE consensus binding motif, and a target-specific antibody is used to capture and detect ATF7 that has bound the probe. This format allows researchers to quantify transcriptional activation status without radioisotopes, supporting studies of stress response signaling, chromatin remodeling, and CRE-dependent gene regulation.

The kit is configured for 96 individual reactions and has been validated across Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. Components should be refrigerated upon arrival; reconstituted antibodies and aliquoted working buffers should be frozen at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity. All reagents are supplied in the kit for in vitro research use only, with a microplate, detection antibody, competitor oligonucleotide, and assay buffers provided for direct measurement of ATF7 transcriptional activity.
