The Assay Genie ATF2 Transcription Factor Activity Assay is a DNA-binding ELISA used to quantify activated ATF2 in nuclear and cell lysates. ATF2 (Activating Transcription Factor 2) is a CREB/ATF family transcription factor that binds the cAMP response element (CRE) consensus sequence and is activated by JNK and p38 MAPK phosphorylation in response to stress, cytokines, and DNA damage. In the workflow, active ATF2 from the lysate binds a CRE consensus oligonucleotide immobilized on the microplate, and a phospho-specific antibody is used for detection. The kit supports research into stress signaling, DNA damage response, apoptosis, and oncogenic pathways. Each kit contains reagents for 96 Assays and works with human, mouse, and rat samples. For research use only.
