Description

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of ATF2 phosphorylation at Serine 62 in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect, lysate-free format with colorimetric detection at 450 nm and is suitable for use with adherent cells. ATF2 is a leucine zipper family transcription factor that binds the cAMP-responsive element (CRE) and regulates gene expression in response to cellular stressors such as UV radiation, oxidative stress, and inflammatory cytokines. Phosphorylation at Serine 62 modulates its transcriptional activity, affecting processes including cell survival, proliferation, and apoptosis.

Reactivity has been demonstrated in human, mouse, and rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit provides qualitative determination of phosphorylated ATF2 and is useful for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators on ATF2 phosphorylation. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is provided to determine cell density. The kit is suited to research into stress response signaling, cell cycle regulation, and cancer progression. Gene ID: 1386; UniProt ID: P15336.
