Description

From Assay Genie, this in-cell ELISA kit is designed for the qualitative detection of phosphorylated Arrestin-1 at Ser412 in human adherent cell samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method at 450 nm and has a dynamic range of more than 5000 cells, making it suitable for high-throughput applications without the need for lysate preparation.

The kit enables researchers to measure relative amounts of phosphorylated Arrestin 1 in cultured cells, and can be used to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators on Arrestin 1 phosphorylation. The indirect ELISA format employs target-specific primary antibodies and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. An anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is provided to determine cell density after the colorimetric measurement.

Arrestin-1, encoded by the ARRB1 gene (UniProt P49407), is a key regulator of G protein-coupled receptor signalling, playing a central role in receptor desensitization and internalization. The kit is intended for studies of cell signalling, drug development, and disease mechanisms associated with GPCR pathways.
