ARHGEF2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is specifically designed for the quantitative measurement of ARHGEF2 levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, with a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells. It is supplied in a 96-well microplate format and is intended for adherent cell samples.

The kit employs a lysate-free, indirect ELISA format in which ARHGEF2-specific primary antibodies capture the target, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody. The bound HRP enzyme catalyses a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density so that results can be adjusted for plating differences.

ARHGEF2, also known as Rho/Rac guanine nucleotide exchange factor 2, is a microtubule-associated guanine nucleotide exchange factor for Rac and Rho GTPases that mediates cross-talk between microtubules and the actin cytoskeleton. The kit can be used to measure the relative amounts of ARHGEF2 in cultured cells and to screen for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on ARHGEF2. The product is recommended to be stored at 4°C for 6 months.
