ALX3 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

This in-cell ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the qualitative detection of ALX3 protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which ALX3 is captured by specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. The kit is described as lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive, with a stated dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells per well. It is designed for use with adherent cells.

ALX3 (UniProt ID: O95076; Gene ID: 257) is a homeobox transcription factor that functions in the nucleus as a sequence-specific DNA-binding protein, with documented roles in transcriptional regulation, embryonic forelimb and hindlimb morphogenesis, skeletal morphogenesis and the regulation of apoptosis. Defects in ALX3 are associated with frontonasal dysplasia type 1. The kit shows reactivity with human, mouse and rat samples.

For normalisation, a monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The kit is supplied in a 96-well microplate format with adhesive plate seals, and the stated storage stability is 4 °C for 6 months.
