ALOX5 (Phospho-Ser271)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of ALOX5 phosphorylation at Ser271 in cell lysates using a colorimetric readout at 450 nm. It is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples and is supplied as a lysate-free, high-throughput assay for profiling phosphorylation and expression in cultured cells.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which ALOX5 (Phospho-Ser271) is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction on substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided to account for cell density. The dynamic range of the kit is more than 5000 cells, and it is intended for cell-based work within the metabolism research area.

ALOX5, also known as 5-lipoxygenase, is a key enzyme in arachidonic acid metabolism and leukotriene biosynthesis, and phosphorylation at Ser271 is linked to regulation of its activity in inflammatory signaling.
