ALOX5 In-Cell ELISA

From Assay Genie, this In-Cell ELISA Kit is a cell-based colorimetric assay read at 450 nm and intended for the qualitative detection of ALOX5 in plated and fixed cells. The kit is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples and requires a minimum of 5000 cells per well, with the protocol completed in 4.5 hours.

ALOX5 (arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase) is an oxidoreductase (EC 1.13.11.34) involved in lipid metabolism, including the leukotriene biosynthetic and lipoxygenase pathways. The enzyme catalyzes the conversion of arachidonic acid to 5(S)-hydroperoxy-6-trans-8,11,14-cis-eicosatetraenoic acid and further to leukotriene A4, and has been associated with asthma susceptibility, atherosclerosis and several cancers. The kit is supplied in a Cell-Based ELISA format for research in metabolism, with storage stability of 4°C for 6 months.
