ALK (Phospho-Tyr1604)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative measurement of ALK (Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase) phosphorylation at tyrosine 1604. The lysate-free, high-throughput assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which phospho-ALK (Tyr1604) is captured by specific primary antibodies, with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalysing a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. Reactive with human samples and with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells, the kit supports measurement of phosphorylated ALK in cultured adherent cells, and screening for the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on ALK phosphorylation.

A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. ALK is a receptor tyrosine kinase implicated in cell growth, survival and differentiation, and monitoring phosphorylation at Tyr1604 provides insight into its activation status and downstream signalling in cancer research and drug development.
