ALK Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the qualitative measurement of ALK (Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase) protein expression in cultured cells. Using an indirect ELISA format, the target is captured by ALK-specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. The assay is lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive, and can be used to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on ALK levels.

The kit has been validated for human and mouse reactivity, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be adjusted for plating differences. Adherent cells are a recommended sample type.

ALK is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in cell growth and survival, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancers including anaplastic large cell lymphomas and non-small cell lung cancer, supporting research into ALK signalling pathways and potential therapeutic targets. The kit is supplied in a 96-well microplate format with colorimetric detection; components should be stored at 4 °C with a stated shelf life of 6 Months.
