Akt2 (Phospho-Ser474)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a cell-based ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of phosphorylated AKT2 at serine 474. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm and is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of AKT2 signalling in cell survival, growth, and metabolism. Dysregulation of AKT2 phosphorylation is implicated in diseases including cancer, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders.

The kit employs an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies capture Akt2 (Phospho-Ser474), and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is provided to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be adjusted for plating differences.

The dynamic range supports measurements above 5000 cells, and the kit is intended for adherent cell culture workflows, including screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors, or activators on Akt2 phosphorylation.
