Akt2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based immunoassay from Assay Genie enables qualitative detection of AKT2 protein levels directly in cultured cells without the need for lysate preparation. The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which AKT2 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction. Colorimetric measurement is taken at 450 nm.

Configured as a 96-well microplate format, the assay accommodates adherent cells and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided so that cell density can be determined and absorbance values adjusted for plating differences. The kit is intended for measuring relative AKT2 amounts in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on AKT2. Storage is at 4 °C with a stated stability of 6 months.
