AKT1/3 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's in-cell ELISA is built for the qualitative measurement of AKT1/3 protein in adherent cell cultures, offering reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. Detection is by Colorimetric method at 450 nm, and the kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format with storage at 4°C for 6 months.

The assay is lysate-free, high-throughput, and uses an indirect ELISA format in which AKT1/3-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values. Following colorimetric measurement of HRP activity, the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalized to cell amounts.

The kit can be used to measure relative amounts of AKT1/3 in cultured cells and to screen for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on AKT1/3. The cited dynamic range is > 5000 Cells.
